Set apart for the Lord. What does it mean to be set apart for the Lord God? We are born into this world not knowing the reality of God. As an infant we need others to feed and clothe us. We are dependent upon others to help us mature into adulthood.
Power to Heal
Who gave the power to heal all diseases? It was Jesus who gave the twelve disciples the power, but he also gave the appointed seventy the power to heal in Luke chapter ten. The Strong’s Greek word is “exousia,” which means power and authority. It is Jesus who gave them this power and authority.
Let us go on to Perfection
Let us go on to perfection instead of continuing to lay a foundation of repentance from dead works. What is dead works? Are they not the carnal nature of man which is vanity such as one’s own pride. It is the self-righteous attitude of a Christian to do God’s work in their own flesh instead of believing in faith through the Spirit of Christ.
A Faithful Witness
A faithful witness is what we need today, yet it is hard to trust anyone. The quality of being honest with one another has gone out the window. Can we be honest with ourselves when lies come out of our mouth? Truth is that we may not realize the amount of lies we tell each other.
Oil for Light
He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the Lord continually. The light is to shine continually before the Lord. Do you have enough oil in your lamp? Is your lamp continuously burning so that the light can shine in the darkness around you. Where does the oil come from?
