“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Peter 2:9
A chosen generation of God is based upon a personal choice a person makes to follow God. There are only two paths to follow. The path of evil or the path of good. All true Christians are a chosen generation of God, for the kingdom of God is within them, [see Luke 17:21]. Are you following Christ? If you have been born again through repentance through Christ, then you are a child of God and following the ways of God through the Holy Scriptures. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus as is stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17. You are a peculiar people whom God has called out of darkness and is now living in the light of His son Jesus. Your identity is as a priest in the kingdom of God. This is our inheritance that we all become a priest. We now have access to God because of Jesus death and resurrection. Christians are to continue to worship and serve God. Christians are to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [see Romans 12:1]. They will not be conformed to this world but be renewed and transformed into the image of Christ.
The grace of God is forgiveness through repentance. A Christian has a clear conscience. This is the royal priesthood a Christian has through Christ. They have obtained the mercy of God. They now walk as children of God as pilgrims who have abstain from fleshly lusts that war against the soul, [see 1 Peter 2:11]. As this year closes and the new year begins, stay the course and pray for revelations for your own life and those around you. Know that the anointing abides within you. That anointing is the Holy Spirit.
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:20
Be open to what God will show you in His word. Adjust your thinking to that of the word of God. God will use you in unusual ways in the time of trouble. Do not look at the trouble or circumstances, look to God and see the mighty power of God’s work on your behalf. Pray and continue singing His praises and receive His blessings in the name of Jesus.
